ZUMBA with Mariana Brazon

ZUMBA® is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system! This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.

ZUMBA® integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval and resistance training to maximize caloric output, cardiovascular benefits and total body toning. The cardio-based dance movements are easy-to-follow steps including body sculpting, targeting areas such as gluteals, legs, arms, core, abdominals and the most important muscle in the body, the heart.

All ZUMBA® classes are $5 per class.

Advanced Tai Chi with Andy Holmes

This class is available for enthusiasts who have studied at the 102 level in any style of internal martial arts or related mind/body movement activities. Class content focuses beyond the slow form and into specialized movements including variable speed routines and closed-hand training. Sessions may consist of interactive exchanges between individuals to increase energy development and maximize health benefits for all participants. Aspects of connection will be explored by classmates using taijiquan principles of stance. Partner contact training at this level helps deepen one’s personal awareness and expand healing potential. Form studies will include Hao, Family Fast, Fa-jing Saber and other Dong/Tung style patterns as appropriate for attendees.

5 Rhythms Dance with Ronny Temple

The 5Rhythms® is a movement meditation, a form of ecstatic dance. We invite you to take whatever is alive for you (happiness, boredom, anger, love, pain, serenity, self-consciousness, etc.) and put it into motion. Moving with what is nurtures integration, freedom, release, and the ability to be present. Check out one of our Sunday morning, Tuesday evening or Thursday evening classes. Drop in Mat Pilates classes are $15 per class or packages of 4 classes can be purchased for $50, 8 classes for $88 and 16 classes (2 times per week) for $164.

 

Nia with Kristy Woodford

The Nia Technique® is a holistic dance practice.  It is the art of movement the body’s way.  It’s a cardio-dance workout, a movement practice, and a lifestyle based on the intelligent design of the body.  We believe every person can discover, explore, unleash, and enhance their individual potential to live a healthy and meaningful life by engaging their senses and listening to their bodies.

Nia tunes your mind and tones your body.  Each workout brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced.  Nia workouts combine 52 simple moves with dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts to get you fit in 60 minutes – body, mind, emotion, and spirit.  Nia is practiced barefoot, is non-impact, and is adaptable to individual needs and abilities.
