Rachel Martinez – ZUMBA®
I have always loved music and dance since I was a little girl, and although, “working out”, was never really part of that equation, at some point in time you have to face adding some type of fitness into your life. Discovering the Zumba Fitness program was a game changer and a life saver for me, especially after hitting my mid 30’s, having a baby, and spending most of my work days sitting at a desk. My physical health needed a serious boost! So, I ditched the work out and joined the party back in 2008. I was so inspired and motivated by this fitness program that I wanted to share it with the world. So, in October, 2010, I become a licensed instructor and have been loving it ever since. This is the best way for me to keep up my physical health and help others create a happier and healthier lifestyle.
Whether you’re in it for fitness, or you just want a safe place to dance your heart out, you’re in the right place! You don’t need to have dance skills or a pre-requisite of fitness knowledge, just the desire to get to class and let the music move you. I will help guide the rest.
My classes are designed for you; to be a safe and friendly “free to be you zone” where everyone feels invited and welcome, at any fitness level and where you let go and just dance, dance, dance!
- Wear your comfortable and non-marking shoes. Please help preserve our beautiful dance floor by making sure your shoes are free of outside grit.
- Wear comfortable and breathable clothing – highly recommended as we sweat a lot!
- A water bottle, to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
*class times include sign in time and 45 minutes of Zumba dancing; due to limited space, please arrive on time and be sure to sign in before class begins. All Zumba classes are currently $5.
