5Rhythms is a physical and spiritual dance practice which promotes a fullness of life and freedom in movement. At the heart of this comprehensive body of work is the physical experience of your body in motion. 5Rhythms classes and workshops typically include moving meditation sessions in which students dance the five rhythms of flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. The rhythms together form the wave. While dancing the wave we practice allowing our bodies to move freely as we explore the circular and grounding rhythm of flowing, the shapes of staccato and the release in chaos. We discover curiosity and freedom in lyrical and reverence in the spirit of stillness.

About Ronny:
Ronny is a certified 5Rhythms Teacher with a wide breadth of experience in movement meditation and leadership. He has studied and practiced meditation, in many different forms, with Krishnamurti, whom he met in the early eighties, and with Osho Rajneesh with whom he practiced meditations such as Vipassana, Sufi Whirling, and Kundalini for nearly two decades in India as well as the U.S. Ronny’s great love and focus since 2002 is Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms movement meditation which he offers at Fusion via workshops and weekly classes.

Bodies are wild and so ingenious. QBL is a gentle movement class that incorporates floor barre as well as somatic practices with gentle stretching to build internal strength & support both in your body as well as your spirit. This class is adaptive, designed to support many body types and abilities and offers the option of seated chair practice for those with limited mobility. We will move with intention and creativity, exploring the capacities and beauty of our unruly bodies.

About Stevi:

Hi, my name is Stevi and I am a community organizer, Somatic Coach and developer of Transformative Somatics. As a trans genderqueer practitioner descendeded from German, English and Lithuanian ancestry I grow between the cracks and invite you to inhabit the liminal spaces where there is room to create space for all that we embody.

I became deeply interested in how bodies process and integrate lived experiences, including trauma, through my own healing journey. I also began to recognize the myriad of ways that systems of oppression actively work to strip communities and individuals of embodied cultural practices and relationships. I believe that the work of social change and reclaiming embodied relationships are inseparable, and am committed to developing trauma-informed, accessible tools and spaces to practice cultivating safety within the body.  I invite you to join me as we explore and learn to embody our exquisite liberation.

I hold a BA of Arts with an emphasis in Somatic Studies and Psychology and am trained in Laban-Bartenieff Fundamentals, & modern dance.
